Setup and Management of:
  1. First Accredited Virtual University in the Arabi World, the Syrian Virtual University (2002, Syria)
  2. First Accredited Blended Learning Academy in the Arab World, Al Balqa Online Academy (2007, Jordan)
  3. First Social Online/Mobile Learning Platform in Asia, Middle East and Africa, Learning.Social (2013, UAE)
  4. First accredited eSchool for Emergency and Refugees Education in the Arab World, the Syrian eSchool (2014, Levant)
  5. First full-fledged Smart School project in the Arab World to use disruptive delivery model (AI, Augmented Reality, Adaptive, etc.), Alef Education Project (UAE, 2016). A similar model is being designed for Syrian refugees.
  6. Tens of EdTech and online learning solutions and Centers of Excellence in partnership with top universities across GCC and Levant.

 Social Entrepreneurship projects in MENA region:
  1. Development and Digitization of local curricula and integrate Critical Thinking and higher order thinking skills, in line with international best practices.
  2. Online Business School – Middle East and North Africa (OBS-MENA): Bringing UK and local awards, certificates, and diplomas in Arabic and English to Syrian refugees and other Arab Youth, leading to UK qualifications, in modern hands-on subjects, such as creative and digital sector, education, fintech, etc. to nurture digital talent and skills (in partnership with London-based Online Business School and regional partners)
  3. Social Smart School (SSS): Providing formal and informal learning in a blended format to crisis and underprivileged areas. (Ex: Syrian Refugees in Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey and inside Syria).
  4. KMK Institute (KMKI): Providing world-class accredited online degree programs to youth across the Arab world, in partnership with edX (Harvard, MIT, Berkley, etc.) and leading education providers in UK, US, and China.
 
R&D Disruptive Initiatives:
  1. Refugees' solutions that can go regional and global.
  2. Regional prosperity consultancy and policy drafting.
  3. Digital strategy and knowledge economy (HealthTech, AgroTech, FinTech, and EdTech).

Founder and Managing Director
​Dr. Milad Sebaaly is the founder of Global Learning International FZ-LLC and has served as its Managing Director since the company’s inception. He has been internationally renowned as a leader in the development of technology-based education across the Middle East region. He spearheaded various e-learning start-ups and major implementations within the Arab World, including accredited e-universities, and has been continuously involved in the planning and development of educational technology projects over a span of 20 years.
 
He holds a PhD in Systems Engineering from Nagoya Institute of Technology, Japan. Milad is a founding member of MIT Learning International Networks Consortium (LINC). He has been a senior consultant of various Arab Ministers of Higher Education. He also served as President of the Middle East eLearning Association (MEeA) in 2013-2015.
